November 29: Happy birthday Gaetano!

To celebrate Gaetano Donizetti’s 228th birthday, the Fondazione Teatro Donizetti is organising a host of activities to bring young people closer to the artistic and human figure of our great composer from Bergamo.
Visitors to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and Donizetti’s Tomb can leave a message of good wishes for Gaetano.

MUSICAL ELEVATION IN THE BASILICA OF SANTA MARIA MAGGIORE
An official celebration which, as every year, dedicates an institutional moment to the man who brought the name of Bergamo to the world thanks to his eternal and universal music. The Conservatory ensemble will play a dedicated programme and high school students will read their letters to Gaetano.
