CHILDREN’S SCHOOL

For the 2025-2026 school year, we look forward to welcoming all preschool children to the unmissable Tano di Lammermoor and Gaetano Gioppino e l’elisir d’amore— puppet shows by Daniele Cortesi, an artist and craftsman from our very own Bergamo, who has the gift of making every story magical through his creations. A musician from the Fondazione Teatro Donizetti will visit each participating school for a workshop, and then we’ll be waiting to welcome everyone to the theatre in the spring!
A new addition this year is Piccolo Signor Rumore (The Little Mister Noise)— a concert game adventure designed for the youngest audiences. A school workshop will follow the show, so as not to spoil the magic of the concert beforehand.
All these performances are interactive, involving the audience through songs and simple props made in class.
There are also workshops and guided tours of all the Fondazione’s most enchanting venues: Teatro Donizetti, Teatro Sociale, and the Casa Natale, birthplace of Gaetano Donizetti in the upper town.
We invite all teachers to join us on October 18 for an intensive training day dedicated to the entire program. Teachers will also share their insights, helping to spread the good practices developed through the wonderful work they do around the theatre experience.
