Description

What does a conductor actually do with that baton? Why does everyone watch them so closely—and why are they called “Maestro”?
Find out on a special visit to the Teatro Donizetti, where families are invited to step inside the world of orchestral music and discover the legacy of Gianandrea Gavazzeni, the Bergamo-born conductor celebrated on stages around the globe.
This interactive experience guides visitors through the theatre’s spaces, unveiling the role of the conductor and bringing to life archival materials from performances led by Maestro Gavazzeni. Sketches, historical photographs, and stage images recreate the rich visual universe of opera—one in which Gavazzeni played a leading role.
Along the way, participants will be challenged to listen closely, observe details, and remember stories. Because at the end, a final test awaits: only one winner will be crowned and receive a small but exclusive prize.
The challenge is on.
